Features
  • Electric Power Steering: Industry exclusive Electric Power Steering drastically reduces steering effort and delivers unprecedented handling capabilities.
  • Trail Tuned Power: Built from the beginning as a sport touring engine, the fuel-injected, low-revving, high-torque Genesis 120FI boasts a six-horsepower gain with a five-percent increase in fuel economy over our carbureted version. Complete with a larger stator to crank out an additional 70 watts of electrical power.
  • Advanced Fuel Injection: The Genesis 120FI uses Yamaha's advanced fuel injection system to control fuel flow to the engine. Consumers enjoy the engine's hassle-free, spot-on performance and throttle response as a result of the advanced electronic fuel injection system.
  • Engine Braking Reduction System: The Genesis 120FI features the unique Engine Braking Reduction System. The system allows a small amount of air to pass through the fuel injection system when the throttle is released, giving riders a smooth "coast" feeling when they release the throttle.
  • Tuner Skis: The addition of Yamaha's acclaimed Tuner Dual Keel skis greatly reduce darting and offer a wide range of carbide set-up options, from mild to aggressive pattern.
  • Digital Gauge: In addition to standard readouts like speed, engine RPM, dual trip meters and a clock, you also get an oil trip readout which tracks when it's time for an oil change and fuel trip readout which displays how many miles you've gone since the fuel light came on.
  • Deltabox II Chassis: The Deltabox II chassis creates a comfortable rider-forward posture. Ergonomic treatment is achieved by locating the handlebars and seated position high and forward on the chassis. With this positioning, the rider can go from sitting to standing and back again easily and comfortably. It also further centralizes the combined mass of sled and driver for razor-sharp handling.
  • Dual DC Outlets: You get a standard automotive-style outlet for cell phones, GPS or other electronics accessories. And an RCA-style plug near the left hand grip to power up heated helmet visors or other small-plug accessories. The larger stator on the engine cranks out plenty of power for both systems.
  • Lighter Than Ever: Compact design, and lightweight magnesium, titanium and aluminum components enhance performance and reliability. Weight-saving forged pistons maximize compression and give you more power per pound.
  • Ride Data: The RS Vector and RS Vector L-TX feature a digital gauge array that displays a wide variety of data. In addition to standard readouts like speed, engine RPM, dual trip meters and a clock, this new gauge also has an oil trip readout which tracks when it's time for an oil change and fuel trip readout which displays how many miles you've gone since the fuel light came on.
  • Deltabox II with Rider-forward Position: The primary design objective of the Deltabox II chassis was to create a comfortable rider-forward posture. The ergonomic treatment is achieved by locating the handlebars and seated position high and forward on the chassis. With this positioning, the rider can go from sitting to standing and back again easily and comfortably. It also further centralizes the combined mass of sled and driver, for razor-sharp handling.
  • Less Weight: Compact design. Lightweight magnesium, titanium and aluminum components enhance performance and reliability. Weight-saving forged pistons maximize compression and give you more power per pound. It's no wonder. Yamaha has engineered more four-strokes than all other snowmobile manufacturers combined.
  • Serious Savings: Yamaha four strokes offer serious advantages in performance, reliability and fuel and oil efficiency. They're engineered to let you master the snow whether you ride hundreds of miles of groomed trails a day, seek out big moguls, or cruise with the family. They offer serious advantages for serious riders who don't want to waste money on expensive-to-operate two strokes.
  • More Efficient: Fifty years of advanced engineering technology means Yamaha four strokes enjoy miles-per-gallon advantages â€" fewer fuel stops â€" cleaner combustion â€" no two stroke odor. With unpredictable fuel prices, Yamaha's four-stroke advantages are clear. And Yamaha four strokes can't be matched for consistent reliable performance.
  • Standard Electric Start: Yamaha's electric starter system allows consumers to fire up their RS Vector L-TX with the turn of a key. There is no pulling on a nylon cord to get this high-tech engine growling! Electric start is a standard feature on all of Yamaha's 4-stroke machines.
  • Front Suspension: New aluminum HPG shock absorbers. Provide plush, comfortable ride and are 20% lighter than previous shocks.
  • Mono Shock II CK Rear Suspension: The HPG clicker shock on the Mono Shock II CK rear suspension offers an extensive range of adjustability while providing a smooth compliant ride with amazing bump absorption.
  • Oil Savings: No matter how you slice it, a 2-stroke engine is a 100% oil loss system â€" you pour it in, the sled spews it out. Yamaha 4-stroke engines don't use injection oil, so you're not always chasing the next quart. Look at the savings you'll enjoy with a Yamaha 4-stroke versus a 2-stroke engine!
  • 1.25" Ripsaw Track: A fully open / fully clipped 1.25" Ripsaw track to help prevent ratcheting and improve hyfax wear (each pitch has an open window with a metal guide clip on every rod).
  • Windshield: Windshield, similar to that found on our acclaimed Apex, offers protection from the elements while maintaining light weight.
